AVOID PROCRASTINATION — 4 SIMPLE WAYS TO LAUNCH YOUR BRAND

A lot of people don’t start something new just because they’re in the middle of doing something else. But if you only got around to creating your own business when the timing was perfect, you’d never do it!

The easiest way to get on your way is to start small and start now.

This might be the part where you roll your eyes and think to yourself: “it’s easier said than done,” or, our personal favorite: “It’s not that simple.”

That right there is one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves.

Because you know what? It actually is that simple.

It can be intimidating to start something new when you anticipate failure, because failure feels like the end. And why start something when you can already feel the end?

—- need a transistion

First things first, write down what you envision for your brand. Is it a Youtube Channel for cooking? An event planning company? Maybe you just want to brand yourself as a lifestyle influencer. Whatever it is and whatever you want it to look like – write it down!

Next is the most important part. You need to write down why you’re creating this brand. Is it because you are passionate about health and want to share your knowledge with the world to help people? Is it because you want to plan clients’ dream weddings? Is it because you believe in yourself and want others to feel the same way?

It doesn’t matter what your “why” is, as long as it matters to you. This is your brand, your business, and your vision. So, let it be an embodiment of you.

STARTING A BRAND WHILE WORKING

You might be wondering how to find the motivation to tackle a new project while keeping your current job.

You have to learn how to work smarter, not harder – that’s how.

Look, you are not a superhuman; You are just a person trying to do something super. So, don’t be too hard on yourself.  Because you are (unfortunately) not a superhuman, you only have so much energy in the tank each day. Spend it wisely.

Get yourself organized in whatever way works for you. Whether it’s a planner, Google Calendar, or legal pads, write down your checklist and get going. Keep your schedule manageable and your goals achievable, especially at the beginning.

Remember that consistency is key, and that meeting deadlines and reaching small milestones is always something to celebrate. It’s also an easy way to keep yourself excited about the project and keep yourself in the game.

So, before you tell yourself one more reason why you shouldn’t just start the dang thing, ask yourself why you can't stop thinking about it in the first place. It’s probably because it’s calling you all the time; this idea wants to be picked up by you and turned into reality.

Just pick up the phone. That’s the first step. Then, next time it calls, pick up again. Start writing down what gets you excited about it and why. Once you have a reason to wake up every morning and get excited about whatever it is you want to pursue, it’ll be easy to make the time for it.

So, just start.
